Patrick M. Smith, Sr., ISA AM, MSA, MPPA, CAGA
President

Patrick is a Certified Personal Property Appraiser and Chairman and President of Green Donation Consultants.

In 2008, Patrick was awarded the National Association of Master Appraisers highest designation, Master Senior Appraiser. In 2011, Mr. Smith earned the coveted Graduate Personal Property Appraiser designation from the National Association of Auctioneers. In 2012, he received the CAGA designation as a Certified Personal Property Appraiser from the Certified Appraisers Guild of America. He also holds an Accredited Member designation from the International Society of Appraisers.

Patrick's ability to effectively research and utilize sound judgment when conducting complex valuations, appraisals, and reviews has earned him distinguished recognition by his clients and colleagues. He is well known in the industry for his tenacity and eagerness to take on challenging assignments.

As an appraiser for more than 15 years, Patrick has testified on numerous occasions, in front of the IRS, on behalf of property owners. All the cases he participated in were won successfully and without dispute.

Patrick is passionate about sharing the benefits of deconstruction for both clients and the environment. His dedication towards the cause prompted him to create the course, "Deconstruction, the Green Alternative to Demolition," which qualifies as continuing education for the National Association of Realtors.

Faranak Wallace, ISA AM
Chief Executive Officer

Faranak is a member of the International Society of Appraisers, joined the Green Donation Consultants team in 2014. Having a 20-year background as a pharmacist routinely helping people in need, the move to GDC was a natural transition. Faranak is highly intelligent and passionate about consistently delivering superior results to clients. Faranak maintains high levels of service and quality for every valuation. Prior to transitioning to the position of Executive Assistant to the Chief Executive Officer, she has several years of experience performing comprehensive appraisal reviews of commercial and residential appraisals for conformance with USPAP, ISA, and tax court precedent.

Faranak thoroughly enjoys her work, her two Chihuahuas, Tigey and Toby, and strives to hit her physical fitness goals each year.

AnnMarie Smith, ISA AM, CAGA
Vice President

AnnMarie Smith is a Certified Personal Property Appraiser, Accredited Member of the International Society of Appraisers, and formerly a Certified Residential Appraiser. In addition to being a lead appraiser at Green Donation Consultants, AnnMarie oversees all internal and external operations ranging from client and project management to administration and human capital. With more than 16 years of appraisal experience, AnnMarie has led GDC to achieve unprecedented, exponential growth every year. Her unrelenting drive, attention to detail, professionalism and passion for service is what has created an unparalleled customer experience at Green Donation Consultants.

In addition to her extensive work with GDC, AnnMarie founded AMS Appraisal Solutions, a firm that focuses on the high-demand area of personal property appraisals.

In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with her two boys, her Yorkshire terrier, and working out at the CrossFit gym. She also has recently started hiking and exploring all the beautiful trails Virginia has to offer.

Elizabeth P. Anastos Holmes, ISA AM
Chief Operating Officer

As serving COO, Elizabeth P. Anastos Holmes has extensive appraisal knowledge gained through several years of working in museum, gallery, art advisory and auction house settings in Chicago and the greater Washington, D.C. area.

A graduate of DePaul University’s Art History and Honors Programs, she has career experience as a research assistant at the Art Institute of Chicago in the Byzantine department. She went on to work for the Straus Art Group in Chicago as a consultant and appraiser. After relocating to Washington, D.C., Elizabeth worked as a Fine, Contemporary, and Decorative Art Specialist for an auction house in Northern Virginia.

Elizabeth is an Accredited Member of the International Society of Appraisers and is an active contributor to the Membership Retention Committee and chair of the Marketing Committee.

In addition to her work at GDC, Elizabeth founded the Warwick Art Advisory, an appraisal firm, which specializes in fine art, antiques, and furnishings. She enjoys being involved in community events, has run the Chicago Marathon, and volunteers for various arts organizations including Washington Project for the Arts.

Clifton Bukowsky
Director of Business Development
Clifton Bukowsky brings a wealth of experience and knowledge into his role as Director of Business Development for Green Donation Consultants. Clifton founded CNB Strategic Consulting in 2001 to pursue his passion for business, technology, and entrepreneurism. He has been instrumental in several incubator startups’ successes and a key contributor in sourcing investors, financing, and strategic business planning in a wide range of industries. 
 
Clifton’s in-depth knowledge of acquisitions, deal sourcing, and fulfillment experience in real estate development have proven invaluable. As a partner in a real estate acquisition group, his team acquired more than $400 million in existing Multifamily projects for redevelopment and repositioning. He has additional expertise in the areas of hotel redevelopment, commercial, business, family amusement centers, and marinas. 
 
Clifton is a proud father of three adult children with one awesome grandson. He enjoys spending quality time with his wife of 19 years. Clifton is a self-described technology geek and is fascinated by the advancements in technology and how they can provide environmental sustainability to ensure a better planet for future generations. As an architect by education, he also spends time designing and renovating his home. He recently finished out his basement with 70% recycled materials.  
Lisa Sullivan
Business Development Manager

Lisa Sullivan is a seasoned leader and Business Development Manager presently responsible for ensuring Green Donation Consultants delivers exceptional service to its clients and business partners. Lisa has had a distinguished professional career in Enterprise Technology sales as a Solutions Architect supporting large and small businesses, including Fortune 500, International, State, Local Government, and Education customers. This diversity in her skillset has allowed her to leverage a unique level of integrity in understanding and creating the successful business infrastructures required to support complex business objectives. Lisa entered the information technology field 22 years ago. She spent most of her career in sales with Verizon Enterprise Solutions Group, having also spent time as a software and technology instructor training at many government and private institutions and individual clients. In her spare time, Lisa can be found rock hunting and scouring the ground for earth's treasures. She is passionate about the gifts that nature has to offer and enjoys sharing her knowledge with others. Her extensive mineral collection has allowed her to share the beauty of these gifts and forge positive connections. Lisa lives life knowing that we are all connected; we are all points of consciousness and strives to lead a life in harmony with nature and others.

Betsy Sayre, ISA
Appraiser

Betsy Galante Sayre has been a Member of the International Society of Appraisers since February of 2019. Betsy has completed several extensive training courses, including the Core Course in Appraisal Studies and The Appraisal Foundation's 15-Hour Personal Property USPAP course.

In 2017, Betsy began working with a national estate sale company providing estate valuation services and appraisals of household and decorative items for their Richmond, VA division. Betsy has an expansive knowledge of antiques, furnishings, and decorative arts. She has established her specialty in these areas and is attaining her Accredited Member status with the ISA. Betsy's previous work experience includes more than 20 years in Creative Production and Compliance roles in both corporate and small agency settings in Richmond.

With a background in fine arts and a degree in Textile Design from Moore College of Art & Design, Betsy has a passion for historical textiles and the tools and processes used to create them. In her spare time, she grows her own cotton and flax to be handspun and woven. She enjoys monitoring all aspects of their lifespans and cultivating finished fabric from seed.

Emily Daniel, M.A.
Research Associate

Emily Daniel has a diverse background working with Fine and Decorative art objects. She graduated cume laude with a Bachelor of Arts degree in History and Art History from George Mason University and earned a Master of Arts in History of Decorative Arts from George Mason University and Smithsonian with proficiency in American fashion and textiles.

Emily has worked for a variety of distinguished institutes in the Washington D.C. area including George Washington's Mount Vernon, Smithsonian Libraries, The Textile Museum, U.S. Department of State, and a Northern Virginia auction house. In positions ranging from curatorial assistant, collections management assistant, and cataloger, Emily has extensive experience and handling capabilities with American and European paintings, sculpture, silver, glass, ceramics, jewelry, textiles, and furniture.

In her free time, Emily enjoys expanding her knowledge through continuing education and enthusiastically exploring the DMV area.

Anna Cooper
Sales Associate

Anna Cooper is a dedicated, trustworthy, team player with experience as an administrative assistant and customer service representative with Green Donation Consultants.

For over a decade, Anna has dedicated her time to improving the customer experience and providing unmatched client care. As an account representative, she finds, creates, and maintains all customer accounts. Anna is the primary point of contact between clients and Green Donation Consultants. She communicates regularly with clients, addresses client concerns, and keeps track of client transactions and payments.

After successfully graduating from Germanna Community College and earning her Associate degree in Liberal Arts, Anna has consistently shown herself as a self-starting hard worker with a keen eye on achievement.

In her spare time, Anna enjoys having quality family time, reading with her daughter, and volunteering as an animal advocate for the Fredericksburg SPCA.

Chris Bartlett
Field Inspector

Chris Bartlett is a knowledgeable and dedicated property inspector with Green Donation Consultants. As a Marine Combat Veteran, Chris served three tours to Iraq and finished his service as a recruiter for the Marine Corps with an honorable discharge reaching the rank of E-6(Staff Sergeant).

After his military career, Chris worked as a general construction contractor and HVAC technician while pursuing a bachelor's degree specializing in business management and human relations. After working for more than a decade, Chris wanted to utilize his experience as a contractor to have a positive environmental impact.

Since starting his career with Green Donation Consultants in October of 2019, Chris has completed more than 300 whole house, personal property, and commercial inspections.

When Chris isn't working he enjoys spending quality time with his wife and five children. He regularly volunteers with his church and enjoys getting out in nature and hiking.

Michael Smith
Field Inspector

Michael Smith, ISA AM, CAGA, a Member of the International Society of Appraisers. Michael joined the GDC team in 2011, only a year after the company began to transition from residential to personal property appraisals. He obtained his Certified Personal Property Appraiser designation early on in his career with Green Donation Consultants in 2012.

Right away, Michael showed great promise. After two years, he was promoted to Senior Inspector and offered an opportunity to have a profound impact on growing the Mid-Atlantic Offices. Michael works with efficiency, pliability, and always, a smile on his face. In addition to inspections, Michael mentors and trains new inspectors and continues to lead the Mid-Atlantic team.

In his spare time, Michael enjoys spending time with his family and is known as a video game and culinary connoisseur.

Jeff Hatfield
Residential Manager

As Residential Manager with Green Donation Consultants, Jeff Hatfield brings an extensive business background with a focus on Sales. Jeff received his Business Management Degree from Jamestown Business College, where he focused on all aspects of business leadership, team-building, and management. In his previous role with Blulogix, he served as Director of Sales, where he implemented a successful growth strategy that took them from startup to a successful SaaS Company. Under his direction, they were averaging over 120% of monthly goals over a four year period.

 Through his experience at GDC, Jeff has mastered his understanding of deconstruction, donation, and the appraisal process. Currently, Jeff has turned his focus on growing the residential side of the company. Jeff's experience working with both startups and large organizations is critical to his relationship-building to help bring in more recurring business and helping our clients understand the full process from donation to appraisal.

In his free time, Jeff enjoys spending quality time with his wife, three children and is a big fan of Buffalo sports.

Our History

Green Donation Consultants was established in 2005 in Fredericksburg, VA as a real estate appraisal company. The company was started by Patrick M. Smith, SR, a Certified Real Estate Appraiser and Master Senior Appraiser. Mr. Smith’s passion for philanthropy encouraged him to shift the focus of the company to charitable donation appraisals of whole houses in 2010. Once he earned the Master Personal Property Appraiser designation from the National Association of Auctioneers, the Certified Personal Property Appraiser from the Certified Appraisers Guild of America and Accredited Member designation from the International Society of Appraisers, Mr. Smith expanded the company’s offerings to include all types of Personal Property for charitable donations.

As the company has grown, Green Donation Consultants’ role has grown, too. We are now much more than just an appraisal firm. Based on the needs of our clients, in 2017 with a strong commitment to provide additional services throughout the entire donation process, the appraisal firm was rebranded as Green Donation Consultants. Green Donation Consultants now facilitates the entire deconstruction process for clients and associated parties, while offering a multitude of additional services. Green Donation Consultants, as we are now known, is the premier consulting firm to literally thousands of highly satisfied clients for charitable donations in our coverage area of more than 25 states.
